She looked at Ari - slightly confussed by his intervention, her hunched shoulders tighted slightly. Why did he want to get involved? She had half a mind to- No, Dominique, No she told herself in her mind. Let it go. She watched Scorpio flee quickly and felt bad - She hated playing the bad guy really. It wasn't her style, not at all. She hoped she hadn't upset the poor boy - that wasn't her intention. She knew how hard the first day could be, and she could imagine the turmoil he would be going through, trying to decide what to do with his mess. She sighed, and glanced at Ari. He was a strange one... She never knew what to make of him. One minute he was all haughty and proud, the next, he seemed decent enough. Yeah, okay - he was good at quidditch - She'd give him that easy enough. But sometimes... He seemed to send out all kinds of messages to her. "Interesting?...That's one way to put it."

Ari looked at Dominique, unsure for words. He picked up his book, tucked it under his arm, and walked slowly across the common room. When he reached the staircase leading up to the boy's dorm rooms, he paused.
"I guess I'll head off to bed, too..." He said casually. "Good night, I guess. Do yo know when our next practice will be?"

She watched him quietly select a book and head for the stairs. "Oh-uhm- I think Its Saturday? Yeah... saturday..." she trailed off...Why was she blushing? she asked herself. This was turning out to be one heck of a day. "Night" she responded, looking at the floor this time, to avoid anymore embarressment.

Ari hesitated. "Isn't that our next trip to Hogsmeade, too?" He wondered aloud. He had been looking forward to getting some of those sugar quills; they came in handy in History of Magic classes. Ari stole a glance at Dominique, but she was looking away.

"For some, I suppose. Depends how dedicated to the team you are, doesn't it?" she found the courage to look up again - he was looking at right back at her. On second thoughts she said - "I could get my sister to get something for you, if you wanted. You know - If you are going to practice, and not Hogsmeade." Damn. Why did she say that? She hated asking her sister for favours, Victiore always had something annoying for her to do in return.

Ari hesitated, smiled slightly. "Naw, that's alright. I don't have to go to Hogsmeade. I'd rather go to practice anyways." It was the truth. He was eager to ride his new broomstick; a Nimbus Two Thousand and One. He had saved up his pocket money to buy it. He had been aiming at a Firebolt, but they were just way too pricey for him.
"I guess... I'll see you around," Ari said. "G'night, then."

She nodded quietly. "Okay... Night then." She smiled a little at his hesitation, and slid down in her chair a bit. She reached over to her book which had fallen on the floor and opened it randomly - It was of course about quidditch, how to improve her flying, to pych out the other team - she had borrowed it from Teddy when she learned she was to be the new seeker. She looked up one last time, and saw him wander up the staircase.
