Wow, so this is what being a Captain is like, Leiko thought for the umpteenth time as she gazed at the empty Quidditch Pitch. She had a stack of flattened parchment on her lap, with detailed plans. They would be playing Ravenclaw first, so Leiko had developed these plans based upon past performances of Ravenclaw.
Leiko watched the Gryffindor team troop out onto the field, looking rather impressive as they filed out along behind Ted Lupin. Leiko watched him stop and turn to face his team, grinning lopsidedly. She was hidden from view and could watch the practice without being seen.
"Right, guys," Leiko caught Ted saying. "Up in the air." The seven players shot into the air as one. Ted was the only one riding a Firebolt, but the rest of the team was on decent enough brooms. Leiko picked out a Nimbus Two Thousand, like hers, and two distinctively black Nimbus Two Thousand and Ones. She watched them through their practice, knowing her team would be there soon.
As one, the Gryffindor team touched down and Ted stayed on the field to talk for another five minutes. Leiko slipped away quietly and went into the locker rooms, pulling on the yellow and black Quidditch robes. She stuck up two plays that she really wanted to work on and waited for the team.

"Ted, you coming?" Someone called. Teddy shook his head, watching Leiko fly with the Hufflepuff team.
"I'm gonna hang back here," he called back, spotting a familiar Slytherin face sneak into the stands. He leaned against the wall and watched as Leiko flew straight towards their keeper, flinging the Quaffle hard. He glanced at the Slytherin again, shook his head, and decided to help the captain of the Hufflepuff team.
Leiko watched the Lupin kid walk back onto the field, her face heating up. She fly recklessly towards the ground and landed hard enough to knock herself off balance. "What do you want, Lupin? This is Hufflepuff practice!"
"I could be asking you the same, Barclay. I saw you," Teddy replied, smiling slightly. He nodded quickly towards the stand and saw Leiko glance over. "Whatshisname from Slytherin is spying on us, apparently. Practice like you're training in your keeper."
"My keeper is fine, thanks," Leiko said heatedly. Teddy smiled slightly again, shaking his head.
"They just want to prepare themselves against you, as you know. They're playing us first, and you're playing Ravenclaw first," Teddy said. "Eventually it'll be Hufflepuff against Slytherin. Let them prepare for a weak team and hit them with a hard team." Teddy heard someone calling his name. He watched Leiko until she finally nodded.
"How do I know you won't be using this against us?" Leiko asked. Teddy smiled widened.
"I know better." He winked, turned, and walked off the field. Leiko shot into the air, circling above her team for a moment. She then flew towards Nelly.
"I need a quick word with you," Leiko said. Another chaser flew by, calling out, "What did Lupin want?" Leiko ignored the chaser and looked at Nelly. She took a deep breath. "Play poorly. One of the Slytherins is in the stands."

Dominik watched lupin talking to the hufflepuff. He raised an eye brow and watched the conversation. "What the fuck?" He said to himself as he watched the captians talking. "Interesting" He muttered.

Ornella dashed across the pitch, her yellow quidditch robes flying out behind her. "So sorry I'm late!" she came to a halt next to her captain and Ted, "There was a bit of a problem - My cat..." she trialled off, and followed their line of vision. Her eyebrows raised as she recognized Dominik sitting in the stands, eyeballing their little group closely. She raised her hand slightly, a half wave, and let it fall back to her side again, as she didn't want her team mates to think she had invited him along to watch.

Leiko frowned at Ornella, and then turned and gestured to the team at large. "We're ready, whenever you are. Don't show him your true colors though." Leiko remounted, snatched the Quaffle off the ground, and flew towards the two other chasers.

Nelly rose up onto the sky on her Tinderblast (Yes, it was kind of second hand and kind of old - but was still working well.), and commenced practice with her team mates. Above in the sky, she had a clear view of the castle, the lake, the Forest and of course the stands. She saw Dominik watching her, and turned a nice shade of red as she was forced to obey her captain's commands, and let in many goals. She didn't want to look like too bad of a player in front of him, but she wanted even less to disagree or anger her captain - to be thrown off the team would be a nightmare, Quidditch was her passion, and playing for her house an honour.

Dominik raised his eyebrows at the shocking playing that is going on.
"They are doing this on purpose." He muttered to himself.
He watched as the keeper let goal after goal in. Snickering to himself "Oh this is how its going to be?"
He makes plans to come back in the next practice in his animal form which will not bring too much attention to himself.

Leiko thought more of Nelly's misses were due to her watching the Slytherin, and anger rushed through her. She swung in a long, sweeping circle and threw the Quaffle hard at Nelly, her attention more on the Slytherin. One of the Beaters slammed a Bludger past her, close enough to where Leiko could hear it. She turned and started yelling at the Beaters before diving again, catching the Quaffle Nelly failed to save. Leiko pulled up close her to.
"You can save some, Nelly," Leiko said, getting agitated. It was getting dark out, too. "Five more minutes." Leiko shot to the other end of the pitch and watched the other chasers slam into each other halfway up in the sky before they came pelting down the pitch. Leiko threw to one, flying forward in a clumsy V formation. She caught the Quaffle and leaned closer to her broom's handle, gaining speed. She threw to the Chaser next to her before circling behind the goal posts, coming out to catch the Quaffle and scoring again.

She didn't think it possible, but Nelly managed to turn an even deeper shade of red when Leiko spoke. "Um.. yeah... right..." She flew back to the goalposts and muttered to herself "Focus Nelly, Focus. He's nothing compared to all the hogwarts students who've watched you play in a real match before." She blocked him out of her mind, and went on to save several goals in a row, only letting one in by her captain.

"Great Practice," Leiko called, although her team didn't think so. She glanced at Nelly and the rest of the team. "We'll meet in the common room to discuss later training. Until then... good night!" Leiko landed on the ground gracefully, dismounted, and walked quickly towards the locker room. She still had homework to do, but that could wait. She wanted to find the Lupin kid again, though.
